Alloy Steel Flanges

Alloy Steel flanges contain Nickel-chromium and molybdenum. Sulphuric acid environments do not cause much damage to the internal structure of Alloy. Resistance towards corrosion in these Alloy Flanges is excellent, which makes them usable in various industries. Chloride ion and pitting does not occur in Alloy Steel Flanges. Copper additions make alloy stronger and immune against sulphuric acid attacks. Stability of alloy is enhanced using nickel and columbium content.

Alloy Steel flanges have a combination of properties like pitting, crevice corrosion and general corrosion resistance. Alloy does not corrode under acid attacks. These acids include phosphoric, nitric and sulphuric acids. Alloy is resistant to damage in various ranges of temperatures. Alloy Steel has low carbon content. Flanges made form Alloy Steel are used in food processing, chemical plants, power generation, pharmaceutical and plastic preparation industries. Other than this applications like metal cleaning, heat exchangers, and piping make extensive use of Alloy Steel flanges. Forming on Alloy Steel is possible through the traditional methods along with hot-cold working techniques. Minimal carbide precipitation occurs in Carbon Alloy Steel flanges during welding.
