These grades are AR200, AR450, ARF400, AR400F, AR450, AR450F, AR235, AR600, AR500 and AR500F. Grade AR200 and AR235 plates make an ideal choice of steels for structural applications. The strength of these steels is higher than that of other steels. These are also called AR medium steels and are used for moderate level applications. The strength of AR400 is high. AR450F plates have better strength than that of 400 and is used for high strength requiring applications. AR500 plates are used in mining, concrete and truck-trailer industry. Even at low-temperatures the resistance to impact strength is high. It is used for ballistic plates and armour. Applications requiring high strength make use of AR600 plates.
