Duplex Steel Flanges are manufactured from an alloy consisting primarily of chromium, nickel and molybdenum. Its chemical composition also includes manganese, silicon and a controlled amount of phosphorus and sulfur as alloying elements. Combining these elements yields a material with greater strength than austenitic or ferritic grades of stainless steel. It is particularly noted for its high tensile strength, a wide range of corrosive resistance, extreme toughness and good fabricability.
