Incoloy Sheet and Plates

Incoloy Plates are super alloys that contain nickel. These plates are developed to execute properties like excellent corrosion resistance. Copper and titanium is added to these plates to give them corrosion resistance in extreme environments. Incoloy Plates have high resistance towards general corrosion.

The austenitic structure of Incoloy plates is stable. The nickel is added in sufficient amounts, which gives it resistance towards chloride ion stress corrosion cracking. The immunity towards reducing agents and acids is enhanced in Incoloy with varying amounts of molybdenum and chromium. Plates are generally the thicker forms of sheets. These are also similar to that of sheets. Chromium is added to Incoloy to protect it from damage caused due to nitric acid solutions, oxidising salts, and nitrates. Sulphuric acid and phosphoric acid attacks are resisted well in Incoloy Plates. Thus, making them highly efficient in applications where phosphoric and sulphuric acid is involved. Applications like tank trucks, phosphoric acid evaporators, chemical processing plants, exhaust bellows, propeller shafts and marine exhaust systems. Incoloy is also the most cost effective alloy for use in sulphuric environments.
