Inconel forged Fittings are nickel-chromium super alloys. These belong to the group of austenitic steel family. Corrosion and oxidation resistance is high in Inconel forged fittings. Inconel forged fittings are developed for specific usage in extreme environments effectively. Microstructural segregation and cracking is caused in Inconel during welding. Strength retention in a wide range of temperatures is a property of Inconel forged fittings. Inconel Fittings are used in applications like chemical processors, gas Turbines, heat exchangers, Steam generators and more, owing to their high temperature usability. Commercially Inconel Forged Fittings come in two types viz. Socket-Weld and Threaded Fittings. ASME B16.11 and ASME B1.20.1 are standards set for maintaining production standards in Socket-weld and threaded fittings> other mechanical and quality control checks are also carried out to maintain highest production standards. Bushings, Unions, Couplings, Elbows and Stub-Ends are some types of forged fitting varieties. Forged Fittings are used for creating branch systems of piping, and make changes to the diameter or direction of the branches without any alterations. Resistance to sodium chloride also makes Inconel usable in marine applications.
