Nickel Alloy Fasteners

Nickel fasteners are hard and ductile. Nickel belongs to the transition metals group. The resistance to corrosion of nickel fasteners is good but oxidation might occur slowly at room temperature. At room temperature Nickel fasteners also possess ferromagnetism. Nickel is used in the production of steel. World’s 68% stainless steel is produced with the addition of nickel.

Limonite ore is processed to extract Nickel economically for the production of fasteners. Limonite possess 1-2% of nickel content of its total weight. Nickel is necessary for the development of some plant species, as well. Rechargeable batteries along with nickel-metal hydride batteries make use of Nickel content. Nickel Fasteners are produced in types like J-bolts, U-Bolts, Nuts, Hex Nuts, Screws and Washers. These fasteners are produced for use in various applications. Nickel Fasteners are used in industries like power generation, chemical processing, fertilizer production, Oil & gas and Coal and Gas industry. Commercially Nickel Fasteners are available in grades like Nickel 601, Nickel 400, Nickel 200, Nickel 625, Nickel 276 and Nickel 20. These Nickel Fasteners have combination of properties like oxidation resistance, high temperature resistance and carburization resistance.
