Nickel Alloy Valves

Nickel Valves have good hardness and Ductility. These Valves are resistant to corrosion, but can undergo oxidation slowly at room temperature. Also, Ferromagnetism is seen in these valves at room temperature. Nickel is a popular alloyant for stainless steel used in about 68% of the world’s steel.

Valves are generally used in many industries to regulate the flow of liquids and gasses. Valves are made in four different forms such as Hydraulic, Motor, Pneumatic and Solenoid. These valves are also used for common household applications like controlling the flow of water from taps. Nickel valves are used in commercial applications like piping and plumbing. Nickel is extracted from limonite ore, approximately 1-2% of its total weight. Nickel is used for applications like coinage, alnico magnets, microphone capsules, and rechargeable batteries. Nickel is added to many alloys to increase their strength, ductility, tensile strength and toughness. Nickel is also used develop special alloys like permalloy, invar, and elinvar. Nickel valves are available in Nickel 200, Nickel 201.
