The alloy has excellent strength and ductility. They are highly resistant to most types of corrosion like stress cracking, pitting, creep, and crevice. The alloy can withstand exposure to chloride ion veering environments. They have good formability and fabricability. The material is moldable into different sizes, shapes, thickness, and designs to suit customer specifications. The flanges are available in the following types slip-on, orifice, SWORF, WRNF, RTJ, spectacle, blind, plate, flat, reducing, long weld neck, lap joint, and square. They are classified into 150#, 300#, 600#, 900#, 1500#, 2500#, PN6, PN10, PN16, PN25, PN40, and PN64 based on pressure.


Properties of carbon steel F48 flanges

Mechanical and physical- The tensile strength of the alloy is 450MPa while the yield strength is 480MPa. It has an elongation capacity of 20% in 50mm. The density of the material is 7.8g/cm3 while the melting point is 14000 C.

Chemical- The elements found in the flanges are carbon, silicon, manganese, sulfur, phosphorus, chromium, molybdenum, nickel, iron, and copper.
