321

The chemical composition of 321 stainless steel electrodes is iron (Fe) at an approximate maximum of 58%, chromium (Cr) at an approximate maximum of 18%, nickel (Ni) at an approximate maximum of 9%, titanium (Ti) at an approximate maximum of 5%, and carbon (C) at an approximate maximum of 0.08%. Other elements such as manganese (Mn), silicon (Si), phosphorus (P), sulfur (S), and nitrogen (N) can make up the remaining composition but are limited to a combined total of 0.045% or less.

The SS 321 electrodes have many uses thanks to their many properties. They're highly resistant to corrosion, meaning they can be used in seawater and other environments high in chloride content. Their superior tensile strength makes them perfect for applications where power is of the utmost importance, such as jet engines. The alloy also has excellent elevated temperature properties, making it a good choice for cryogenic applications. The excellent weldability of this grade of steel makes it suitable for attaching these electrodes to flanges and other objects.
