347H

Stainless Steel 347H Hot Induction Bend is a type of stainless steel used for high-pressure applications. One of its key components, Chemical B16, prevents corrosion in chloride solutions and other industrial atmospheres. This alloy also offers moderate resistance to carburization in the presence of carbonaceous gaseous atmospheres and features properties such as outstanding creep rupture strength. Chemical B16 is advantageous due to its combination of chromium, silicon and aluminium, which gives it superb oxidation resistance up to 1500° F (816° C). Its addition helps improve micro-structural homogeneity for improved hot workability in Stainless Steel 347H Hot Induction Bend.

SS 347H Hot Induction Bend is an excellent choice in high-temperature systems exposed to corrosion. Its chromium-nickel composition provides increased strength and resistance to stress corrosion cracking, plus a higher creep-rupture strength when compared to conventional stainless steels. It also exhibits improved intergranular corrosion resistance over 321 and 304 stainless grades. Other properties of this bend include its excellent weldability, formability, fabricability and machinability, and outstanding ductility. Highly resistant to oxidation at temperatures of up to 1150°C, it is often used in refineries because it can withstand exposure to sulfur hexafluoride and other acidic gasses. In short, SS 347H Hot Induction Bend provides industrial users with the best combination of strength, ductility, weldability and oxidation resistance.
