347H

Stainless Steel 347H Mandrel Bend Pipe Fittings are composed of a blend of chromium, nickel, carbon, manganese and other trace elements. Specifically, they contain 18-20% chromium which makes them highly corrosion-resistant; 14-17% nickel, making them heat-tolerant and ductile; 0.08%-0.20% carbon giving them higher tensile strength and corrosion resistance as well; (1.0)-(2.0) % manganese for added strength and durability; and trace elements such as phosphorus, sulfur, silicon and nitrogen for minor strengthening characteristics. This particular composition, in combination, creates a solid, seamless pipe fitting with optimal functionality in many environments.

347H Mandrel Bend Pipe Fittings Stainless Steel are an excellent choice for various applications, as they provide good corrosion resistance and high creep strength without compromising mechanical properties. Due to its low carbon content, this alloy exhibits enhanced resistance to intergranular corrosion following welding or stress relieving, making it useful in chemical and petrochemical processes. Alloy 347H is known for its good thermal fatigue crack resistance, and long-term welded performance. Furthermore, stainless steel can be readily machined with outstanding formability, allowing easy bending and flaring in processes like plumbing projects. These fittings are also 316L grade stainless steel compliant and approved for domestic use even in harsh environments such as coastal locations or anywhere else where salt water may cause damage to other materials.

FAQ's for Stainless Steel 347H Mandrel Bend Pipe Fittings

The density of stainless steel 347H mandrel bend pipe fittings is 7.9 g/cm3. This value can be used to calculate the weight of a given quantity of material.

The best welding type for stainless steel 347H mandrel bend pipe fittings depends on the type and thickness of the material being welded and the desired quality of the weld. Generally speaking, gas-shielded arc welding (GMAW) or submerged arc welding (SAW) are considered to provide the best results.
