DIN 1.4310

B16 is an alloying element found in DIN 1.4310 Stainless Steel Plates. It is a ferrite-austenite stainless steel with a low amount of nickel, good mechanical strength and weldability, and good corrosion resistance, suitable for many applications. The chemical composition of this grade consists mainly of iron, chromium, nickel, and silicon, with the addition of B16 to increase its precipitation-hardenability. B16 also facilitates superior oxidation resistance and increases fabricability. For these reasons, stainless steel plates with B16 are widely used in factory assembly line machinery, boat building, medicine cabinets, and a broad range of kitchen equipment.

SS DIN 1.4310 Plates are a highly versatile material used for many applications. Their use first began with industrial fabrication and construction professionals due to their resistance to corrosion, strength, and durability. With the increasing adoption of stainless steel in the domestic market, its uses have expanded beyond commercial projects. Stainless steel is now widely used in residential kitchen appliances such as refrigerators and ovens due to its low maintenance, hygienic properties, and brightness. It is also used as countertops and backsplash panels due to its scratch-resistant surface. Additionally, it is commonly found in lavatory bowls, facades of buildings, curtain walls, cellular phone towers, electronics enclosures, and more, thanks to its excellent load-bearing qualities and aesthetic appeal.
