The electrode is a high chromium alloy and offers better resistant than most stainless steel electrodes. The filler metal is resistant to most acidic environments. The alloy can withstand crevice and stress cracking corrosion. The electrode can work in both ambient and cryogenic temperatures without losing its strength and ductility. The rod does not require preheating or post-welding before use. However, re-baking is necessary to restore the strength of the alloy. This should be done in temperature around 30000 C for 2 hours. The wire is responsive to both cold working and heat treatment.

Mechanical- The filler metal has a tensile strength of 760MPa while the yield strength is 500MPa. It has a low elongation capacity of around 15% in 50mm. The density of the material is 7.8g/cm3.
Chemical- The elements found in this electrode include carbon, chromium, manganese, nickel, phosphorus, sulfur, copper, silicon, iron, nitrogen, and molybdenum. The high Cr content increases the quality characteristics of the alloy.
