The stainless steel 310 electrodes are rutile basic with high performance in temperatures of up to 1100 degrees Celsius. They have high nickel and chromium composition. The metal fillers are ideal for fabrication of 310 grade of steel. Thus, they only weld steel of similar cast and wrought. The rods are resistant to oxidation even in high temperature environments. The electrodes are purely austenitic which calls for heat regulation when welding. They are compatible with both alternative current. Sulfurous gases can corrode the electrodes, but it is resistant to hot crack. The electrodes require 2 hours drying at 3000 C for efficiency.
