DIN 1.4112

Stainless steel DIN1 4112 electrodes are composed of stainless steel alloy with a sheet thickness of an average of 0.6-2mm thick. When these electrodes have been properly produced, they have a chemical composition containing 20-23% chromium, 2.3-3% carbon or C, 1-2% silicon or Si, and 8-10% molybdenum or Mo. A combination of these materials enables the electrodes to provide excellent arc stability and strength while offering resistance to corrosion and temperature change which has become so desirable in engineering today. Furthermore, the unique composition of Stainless Steel DIN1 4112 electrodes can be used for certain welding types of steel without including any filler metal.

Stainless Steel DIN1 4112 Electrodes have several applications. Their high corrosion resistance and lack of ferrite reactivity make them ideal for welding in the oil and gas industry, particularly for pipelines or equipment exposed to seawater. They are also well suited for welding stainless steels with higher molybdenum content and Grades 2XX and 4XX alloys. In terms of properties, these electrodes boost tensile strength up to 500 N/mm2, yield strength up to 420 N/mm2 and an elongation rate between 22%-30%. Furthermore, these electrodes come with excellent resistance against media such as liquid alkalies and inoxidizable acids. This makes them perfect for construction work where they can be used on behalf of certifications such as EN 287-1:2011.
