The filler metal is responsive to both hot and cold working but requires cautiousness when applying cold working because it can lead to stress cracking corrosion. The strength of the material is at its optimum in temperatures below 9000 C. The alloy does not require preheating or post-welding. The welding interpass temperature should be maintained at around 1000 C. The filler metal can withstand environments bearing nitrate and carbide ions. The alloy is also resistant to chloride ion corrosion.
