Titanium Gr 7 Electrodes

The electrode is the best in corrosion resistance of all the titanium alloys. It is resistant to the crevice and general corrosion. It can withstand chloride ion bearing environments. The alloy has excellent weldability. It has good strength and ductility over a wide range of temperature. The filler metal is not prone to oxidation and reduction. The electrode creates an even union with the base metal with good properties as the parent metals. It has similar mechanical properties as grade 2 but addition of palladium enhances the strength of the rod. It can withstand chloride ion oxidation.

Properties of titanium grade 6 electrodes

Mechanical- The alloy has a tensile strength of 345MPa while the yield strength is 245MPa. The elongation capacity of the wire is 28%. The density of the filler metal is 4.51g/cm3.

Chemical- The elements found in this rod include oxygen, nitrogen, carbon, hydrogen, and palladium. Palladium improves the strength of the alloy and increases cr
