ER410NiMo Filler Wire is a martensitic stainless steel wire. Normally the chromium is kept on the low and the nickel high to avoid ferrite formation in the weld metal, as it has a deleterious effect on mechanical properties. ER410NiMo Stainless Steel Bare Welding Wire is used primarily to weld cast and wrought material of the similar chemical composition. The Welding of SS ER410NiMo Wire is recommended using preheat and inter-pass temperature of not less than 300 degrees F (150 degrees C). Post weld heat treatment should not exceed 1150 degrees F (620 degrees C), a higher temperature may result in hardening.
Typical applications of SS ER410NiMo Welding Wire include welding, repairing and overlaying of type 410 and 410NiMo castings (ASTM CA6NM) and wrought materials. ER410NiMo SS Wire is used in the used offshore and in the power generation and hydropower industries to combat erosion corrosion and other welding applications include valves, valve seating surfaces, gears, propeller
