Super duplex stainless steel UNS S32750 pipes have high nickel, molybdenum and chromium content. It has higher yield as well as high tensile strength due to which it is used widely. Another feature of this grade pipe is that it has improved corrosion resistance when compared with duplex stainless steel. These pipes are used in the heat exchangers, oil refineries, seawater application, and cargo tanks as well as in pressure vessels. Another feature is that it has low nickel content which makes it more attractive and less costly.
Welded super duplex tubes and pipes are specified as per ASTM A790, ASME SA790. The outer diameter is about 6.00mm od to 250 mm od while the size is up to 12” nb. The thickness of the pipe is from 0.3mm to 50 mm and the type in which this pipe is offered is seamless, welded, ERW, CDW, etc. Various form of this pipe is widely used and are great in demand. Delivery condition of this pipe can be polished; annealed, pickled, cold drawn, etc.
