601

Inconel 601 Plate is a nickel-chromium alloy that is resistant to oxidation and carburization at high temperatures. It typically contains 15-17% chromium, 6-8% nickel, 1.0% manganese, 0.5% silicon, 0.5 cobalt, 0.6 – 1.0 molybdenum, and up to 5% iron; however, small amounts and traces of other metals may also be present depending on the application it is bought for. Inconel allows for good mechanical characteristics even at elevated temperatures and can also resist formic acid and acetic acid attacks due to its high chromium content. As well as being used in industrial applications, a plate can also be used in power generation due to its resistance in high-temperature environments and excellent corrosion resistance properties, making it an ideal choice for many applications that require this kind of strength and reliability.

601 Inconel Plates is a heat-resistant and corrosion-resistant nickel-based alloy. Designed to withstand temperatures up to 2000°F, this plate is a popular material for many applications in the energy and aerospace industries due to its oxidation resistance. Its more than 60% nickel composition, combined with small amounts of chromium and aluminum, gives it outstanding formability and strength even at high temperatures. It provides superior corrosion protection, and the Inconel 601 Plate also has excellent fatigue properties and machinability, making it an ideal choice when heat resistance and durability are required.

FAQ's for Inconel 601 Plates

Price of Inconel 601 Plate Start From Rs. 350/Kilogram To Rs. 400/Kilogram.

Inconel 601 Plate welding can be done by using gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) with filler metal, which is often employed in aerospace, cryogenic and chemical processing applications. To weld Inconel 601 Plate, a proper joint design should be chosen to minimize distortions. A high-quality joint should ensure adequate penetration of the root gap and good fusion between parent Plate. The recommended parameters for GTAW are argon as an inert shielding gas, positive polarity on the workpiece, and direct current electrode negative (DCEN). The heat input level during welding should also be monitored properly to prevent any possible cracking from occurring due to excess heat levels.

The Harmonised System Code (HS Code) for Inconel 601 Plate is 7304499090.
